Seven years ago when I started working at Ergomotion®, I had no idea that adjustable bed platforms exist as a comfort-add solution for residential furnishings. At that time my idea of adjustable bed was associated with a product that you can only find in a hospital room. Naturally, most of our customers shared similar views and did not have sufficient information about how such bed solutions can improve the way we rest, sleep and have a positive impact on our lifestyle and wellbeing.

Today, it is hard to find a person who has not heard about adjustable beds and many people have already changed their stationary beds to adjustable and are enjoying the benefits of this technology in the comfort of their home. So why did this change happened so rapidly? Because people understood that it is not enough to purchase a good mattress and mattress alone will not provide for maximum comfort. The world is different today and we spend more time home, naturally more time in a bed where we not only sleep but watch movies, read and even work. Whether we are being productive or simply relaxing, the ability to adjust the position of our upper and lower body allows us to enjoy the comfort that can hardly be achieved on a regular bed.

Adjustable beds are perfect for sleeping and leisure.

Bedding is the most innovative and advanced segment in the furniture industry. In the last 500 years, humans have gone from sleeping on bags stuffed with hay, or animal fur to sleeping on high-tech heated and cooled bamboo covered mattresses. After all, we spend almost one-third of our lives in bed and so clearly we should care about our rest time as much as our active time. Many of us now use digital trackers that constantly inform us of our heart rate, steps taken during the day, calorie intake and other data about our active time. Ergomotion® adjustable beds can provide similar data about our sleep, such as how much did we move in our sleep, or what was our heartrate and did we breathe well? This data can help us make the necessary adjustments to improve the quality of our rest.

Is it a fad? No. The latest research shows that we are much more interested in what is happening to our bodies and science behind getting the most out of them. We want to be productive and healthy sleep is key to having the energy to accomplish what we want in our lives.
